This applies to REGULAR TRACKS ONLY!

Alright so with the new CTGP update, we've decided to keep things normal for the most part so a majority of the core fundamentals of the game don't change.

To do this, we need to require hosts to use pages 4 and 5 settings that coincide with the statement above.

They are as follows:

a.ii. Hosts must set the following Page 4 and 5 CTGP Channel Settings to:

Page 4:
Track Availability [Nintendo Tracks]
° Specific Engine Class [Normal]
°° Race Count [4]
° Thundercloud Autofire [Normal]
Thundercloud Effect [Normal]
Room Encryption [ON]
° Available Vehicles [All Vehicles]
Host Always Wins Vote [OFF]

Page 5:
Item Rain [OFF]
All Items Can Land [OFF]
°°° Network Data Rate [Normal]
Item Boxes [ON]
Only accept CTGP users? [Yes, CTs On]
! Allow My Stuff users? [No replaced tracks]

! = this setting can be changed to "NO" on mutual agreement, "YES" isn't an option
° = this setting can be changed on mutual agreement
°° = the Race Count setting may only be changed to 6 or 12 on mutual agreement, no other values
°°° = a speedtest is required to be posted for all players in the match before changing the Network Data Rate setting
But to make sure hosts aren't doing anything fishy like forcing Mirror or all tracks voted to be theirs, there's a setting that works for everyone (not just the host) called List Race Settings During Voting. With Verbose, when people are picking tracks the bottom right corner of the screen will scroll through all the settings you have enabled and what the host has enabled. With Simple, the bottom right corner will only scroll through some of the settings... the more unusual ones like "TC Autofire".

Make sure to use Verbose, NOT Simple.

Delay your votes to verify the host of your room is following the settings in the quote above (taken from Rule VI. a.i.). Not following section VI will result in the following to happen:

*b.i. A player caught using a game modification from the 'My Stuff' folder will receive a penalty of 30 points per race (150 point cap) or equal to the player's point total (whichever is greater) until the setting is corrected. Races played with any of these settings will not count toward the final score. If the host refuses to reset, his/her team will forfeit the match.
*b.ii. A host caught with Track Availability set to "Custom Tracks" or "All Tracks", Thundercloud Autofire set to "OFF", Thundercloud Effect set to "Mega", Room Encryption set to "OFF", Item Rain set to "ON", All Items Can Land set to "ON", and/or Item Boxes set to "OFF" must reset the room at the cost of one of his/her team's resets (see rule VIII. c. for more information) and correct the setting(s). Races played with any of these settings will not count toward the final score. If the host refuses to reset, his/her team will forfeit the match.
b.iii. A host caught with Host Always Wins Vote set to "ON" must reset the room at the cost of one of his/her team's resets (see rule VIII. c. for more information) and correct the setting(s). If the host refuses to reset, his/her team will receive a 150 point penalty.
b.iv. If a host is caught with Vehicle Availability set to anything but "All Vehicles", the match may proceed unless a reset is requested. If requested, the host must reset the room at the cost of one of his/her team's resets (see rule VIII. c. for more information) and correct the setting. If the host refuses to reset, his/her team will receive a 150 point penalty.
b.v. A host caught with Specific Engine Class set to anything but "Normal" must reset the room at the cost of one of his/her team's resets (see rule VIII. c. for more information) and correct the setting. The same must be done if the setting is different than the one mutually agreed upon. If the host refuses to reset, his/her team will receive a penalty of 8 points per race (96 point cap).
b.vi. A host caught with Race Count set to above 4 must reset the room at any point before race 5, at the cost of one of his/her team's resets (see rule VIII. c. for more information), and correct the setting. If the host refuses to reset before race 5, his/her team will receive a penalty of 30 points for each additional race played (240 point cap).
b.vii. If a host is caught with Race Count set to below 4, his/her team will lose a reset (see rule VIII. c. for more information) each time a Grand Prix ends (showing the final results screen with the Engine Class) without 4 races being completed.
b.viii. Unless a different setting is mutually agreed upon by both teams, a host caught with Network Data Rate set to anything but "Normal" must reset the room at the cost of one of his/her team's resets (see rule VIII. c. for more information) and correct the setting. If the host refuses to reset, his/her team will forfeit the match.
If anything suspicious is found, upload a picture or video of your findings. This is not required, as we don't want to take away points for uploading a room settings picture when there is no need to. We will not be accepting testimony (even from multiple witnesses), so a picture or video showing the violations to section VI must be provided in order for staff to take action on the situation. This can include a clear picture of the room settings or a picture of Discord logs showing gentlemen's agreements for illegal room Settings.
